About Exhale Studio

At Exhale Studio we want everyone to experience the life-changing benefits of meditation and yoga.

Studies from major research centers such as Harvard Medical School, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the National Institutes of Health show that meditation and yoga can provide a wealth of physical and mental health benefits including:

  • Reducing stress and anxiety
  • Improving sleep
  • Diminishing pain
  • Strengthening immunity
  • Lowering risk of heart disease
  • Boosting mood and brain function
  • Building bone strength and balance
  • Stimulating the lymphatic system
  • And much more

Exhale Studio in Shelton, CT makes all this possible for you.

This is the passion project of Laura Marasco. Like so many of us, Laura hurried through life, managing the demands of a hectic schedule, including raising a family and founding and operating several successful businesses in and around Shelton, CT.

Laura reached a turning point in her life after attending a meditation class and doing some breathing exercises. “That’s when I realized I’d been holding my breath for 20 years,” she says.

Right away, Laura knew she’d found a different way, an antidote to the epidemic of busyness. Something that would help her exhale…

Her solution – meditation and yoga – made her more productive, effective and happier and came with a variety of positive health impacts for her too.

Laura continued her exploration and now has teacher qualifications in meditation from Unplug Meditation in Los Angeles, CA and in yoga from Breathing Room in New Haven, CT.

The results for Laura have been transformative, and now she and the team at Exhale want to share these practices with as wide an audience as possible.

At Exhale, we understand that meditation and yoga can seem like they are only for certain people and we want to dispel that myth. We believe these practices are for everyone and we want to make sure that nothing prevents you from reaping their benefits – not your age, fitness level, prior experience, injury, or even your ability to sit on the floor.

That’s why we’ve curated a team of experienced teachers – each with a unique approach – to help make these practices accessible to everyone.

We also appreciate the demands of a busy schedule. You shouldn’t have to cut things out of your life to make room for meditation or yoga. To help make it easier for you, we offer a large selection of classes from early in the morning until late in the evening, so you can join us when it’s convenient for you.
